My Friend Wants To Buy A New Harley Davidson Road King, How Do I Talk Him Outta It?
He won 't listen to me!i told them these bikes are underpowered, too expensive and unreliable.hd is close to bankruptcy, if they go under, his warranty and replacement parts will be nonexistent.hd 's are uncomfortable, hard to ride and handle, the vibration will make it a miserable riding experience.i showed him a brand new yamaha star venture for $12,999, but he still wants the hd road king for $17,999help me ! 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Custom: Primary Drive Locked Up?
Ok, so my dad has the bike listed in the title. i was going to start it up and the battery was dead. i proceeded by taking the battery out and testing/ charging it. i put it back in the next day and when i went to attach the second lead on the +/ - side (don 't remember which) it sparked more then i am used to. scared me enough i dropped the lead. of course my luck the bushing fell out of the battery tray and into the depths of the bike. now when i push the bike forward or backwards to an extent the drive locks up. i am pretty sure the metal bushing fell right into the primary drive sprocket and it stuck there which is locking it up. question: any tips on getting it out without tearing the bike apart? any other people with problem like this? thanks (Read answers)

It 's time to replace the oil in the primary chaincase, among other things. i heard you can use the synthetic motor oil, ( screamin ' eagle 20/ 50) for transmission, primary chaincase and the engine as well. i was wondering if this is a true statement. has anyone heard of this ?? (Read answers)

In nj, where it is real cold... i have my rk connected to a battery tender... does it "help " or "hurt " to "warm up ", start the bike in the garage... i 'm thinking, i shouldn 't because the oil is propably all drained to the bottom, every thing is very , very cold... and yet the battery is still being charged... should i just wait till march before "hurting my baby " ? i figure in march the oil will be naturally warmer and thinner... what are your thoughts?please reply if you think you know the correct answer. I want to purchase a 2up touring bike and my wife and i love the harley davidson road king classic. many experienced bike riders say that the harley has no power to overtake on the high way riding 2up. i amtold that the harley is good for taking a ride to the cafe on sauturday and sunday and showing the bike off but for serious 1000km 2up trips the harley must be ruled out. i would truly appreciate your advice and comments.
